2022 Festival Programming

Bulletin #2

You are receiving this bulletin because you have been a recent presenter at WWC. Thank you for your support. When Words Collide is a unique type of festival where everyone–organizers and presenters–volunteer their time and talents to bring readers and writers together in a celebratory weekend. Without you, there would be no festival.

Thank You

Thank you for your understanding that a decision had to be made last month regarding in-person VS online so that we would have enough time to plan this summer's festival. While Canada is now in the process of reducing pandemic restrictions, we are still unsure what will be possible or sensible this summer and continue to plan for our online festival.

Response to the new format we are trying this year (as described in Bulletin #1) has been generally positive with 8 affiliates (so far) expressing an interest in organizing program content. If you would like to join us as a participating affiliate, please let us know at info@whenwordscollide.org

Due to this new format, we (the festival) are not at this time seeking presenters for workshops or panel discussions. We, and participating affiliates, will advertise in future bulletins those sessions we hope to schedule that require presenters and will look for volunteers at that time. However, as in previous years, we do wish to include opportunities for Blue Pencil Café and Pitch Sessions. If you are willing to offer these services, please let us know so we can add you to our documentation. Note: we will collect contact information for for those looking to receive these services and forward them to you for scheduling, preferably in the days immediately prior to or following the festival weekend.
