In April 2021, a bipartisan group of Senators introduced the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (S. 1486) to help protect women from workplace discrimination. S. 1486 seeks to eliminate discrimination and promote women’s health and economic security by ensuring reasonable workplace accommodations for pregnant employees.
The Contemporary Testimony of the Christian Reformed Church beautifully demonstrates the importance of the sanctity of human life, stating “Because it is a sacred trust, we treat all life with awe and respect, especially when it is most vulnerable.”
