Book Club tonight, Thursday, Feb. 10


Lasting Impressions Women’s Book Club will meet tonight, Thursday February 10 at 6:30pm in Room 114 at CCF. This exciting new book club started meeting on the 2nd Thursday of each month this year. It's for women ages 16+ and will be led by Stephanie Franke & Heidi Aubuchon.

XO Marriage Conference

It's not too late to come!


This weekend is the XO Marriage Conference Simulcast. It starts tomorrow, Friday evening 7pm to 9pm and runs through Saturday, February 12th 9am to 6pm. Walk-ins welcome! Doors will open 45 minutes before each session. Register at the door for $60 per couple, $40 per single. Please plan on bringing your own lunch if you register onsite.

Life, Liberty & Texas Conference 

We Need Your Talents!

 
Have you been asking God how to be a light in a culture opposed to so many things you believe in? CCF is hosting the Life, Liberty and Texas conference to help us win the war of ideas in a Christ-like manner.  

We need help getting the word out about the conference.  Can you email or post an electronic flyer? We have a pdf of a the flyer that you can link to, or save and send out.  Click HERE for the Life Liberty & Texas flyer.

Prefer to talk to people in face to face? You can also take the printed flyer at the InfoCenter and give to co-workers, neighbors, or other groups you are involved in, who might be interested in preserving and winning back Liberty. Who can you invite personally? Friend? Family? Neighbor? Stranger? Can you put a flyer in a local business? Let's get creative!

If you are interested in discussing other ideas and helping to get the word out about this upcoming conference, please join us Tuesday, February 15 at 10am at CCF.

The Conference will be held April 1st & 2nd. We want everyone to come and hear how God's word gives us guidance in times of cultural upheaval.

Pray For CCF Ministries

Epic 56 (5th and 6th Grade)


Epic 56 is our middle school ministry for 5th & 6th graders or “Tweens” as we like to call them! They are not kids, nor are they teenagers. Our goal is that each tween LOVES GOD with all of their heart and with all their soul and with all of their mind. Then, puts that into action by loving their neighbor. (Matthew 25:37-39) It is our desire that each tween awakens to this reality of loving God, dives in and makes their story EPIC. Thanks to Zach Stoner for being such a fearless leader of this group.

God, we thank you for the energy and passion these kids have. We pray this group would find their identity strongly anchored in you and be secure in your love for them. Fill them with discernment as they navigate making more of their own decisions. Help them walk in integrity and be quick to recognize the lies and traps of the Devil. Give them courage to follow You. We pray you gently correct and redirect their path. Give parents and teachers wisdom in knowing how to connect and challenge this group to actively define their own faith. 

"Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ "     Matthew 25:37-40

Praise Report from the Taylors

Missionaries in Southeast Asia

This week we received an encouraging report from "B" and "D" Taylor, our long-time supported missionaries to the Hmong people in southeast Asia. For 20 years, they have been praying for the Boua group of Hmong people to come to know Christ. This week B received word from a missionary saying 6 of the 12 Hmong Boua villages along the borders of undisclosed countries now have Christian churches with 300+ believers. These new believers need Bibles in their own language, so B and D made the long drive up to the border and dropped off over 400 Hmong Boua Bibles that they played a vital role in translating and printing about five years ago. It took five years of intense work and collaboration with Hmong Boua believers to complete the translation.
 
B was awakened with the impression to look up Luke 18:1. Before he looked it up, he received the message above. Then he read the verse, “And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.” This was timely encouragement from the Lord for their diligence to pray for the Hmong for 20 years. They have also been praying for the “other side of the border” for 24 years, and believes  this year is significant for the fulfilling of that prayer. Praise our Father in Heaven for answering the 20-year prayer, and let’s join the Taylors in their 24-year-long prayer, asking for the Gospel to flourish among the Hmong Boua villages. Amen!

Congratulations to our winners at the Awana Grand Prix Race. These kids did a fantastic job designing and then building their race cars! Truth and Training Class: 1st - Ella Tibbs – 170.51mph, 2nd - Joel Hickey – 165.80 mph, 3rd - Kaylee Nance151.87 mph. Truth and Training Best Design: 1st – Ella Tibbs, 2nd Joel Hickey, 3rd Kaylee Nance. Sparks Class: 1st - Jack Harvey – 175.32mph, 2nd - Arabella Harvey 173.97mph, 3rd - Eric Hickey – 152.95mph. Sparks Best Design: 1st Kinley Mathis, 2nd Jack Harvey, 3rd Arabella Harvey.
 

Lindale as a Sanctuary City

Enough signatures have been verified


Of the signatures received, 645 had to be verified as valid to advance forward with the proposed ordinance to outlaw abortion in the City of Lindale. 648 have been verified. We believe it's by the help of 3, Father, Son and Holy Spirit that this ordinance will pass. God loves these babies and has wonderful plans for their lives! Let's count it a joy to be a part of this fight for the lives of the unborn. With God on our side, we are the majority. Please continue to pray for God to speak to the heart of the city officials.
