What to Do If You're Behind on Your Mortgage

Are you unable to make a mortgage payment? Are you already behind in your payments?

Join us for this informational webinar held via Zoom. Our HUD Certified Housing Counselors will help homeowners understand actions they should take if they are unable to make a mortgage payment, and common options available to help them avoid a foreclosure. We will also discuss the foreclosure timeline in Michigan and ways to avoid scams that could cost your money or even your home. An email with more details will be sent to you after you register.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren: Kinship Care Support Group Meeting
March 2, 2022 - 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

OLHSA’s Grandparents Raising Grandchildren provides free support to kinship caregivers and grandparents as parents, who live with and are raising grandchildren in Oakland, Macomb, and Livingston Counties. GRG is sponsored by OLHSA, a Community Action Agency, and Area Agency on Aging 1-B.

March Homebuyer Education Webinar - Saturday, 1-Day Class
March 12, 2022 - 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

This is an interactive 1-day, 5-hour, Zoom Webinar for Oakland & Livingston County, Michigan residents, to be held Saturday, March 12th, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. It is conducted in partnership with professionals from the banking and real estate industry. We provide information and activities to help your understand and be prepared for the home buying process, including working with real estate agents, inspections, appraisals, different loan options, down payment assistance, credit and mortgage approval, and closing documents.

We recommend you have a pen or pencil, paper, and calculator to fully complete the activities in this webinar.

Must be a current Oakland or Livingston County Resident to attend. A MSHDA Certificate of Completion will be provided to those who attend all 5 hours of the class and actively participate in class.
