I am sharing a few tips that have helped me turn my social media into a profitable & scalable business.
Let's chat basics.

Three Reasons You're Not Securing Brand Deals On Social Media

1.  You don't understand the business of Influencer Marketing.
Did you know influencer marketing is a $ 3.8 billion industry? This year it's up from $1.7 billion in 2021, according to Influencer Marketing Hub's 2021 Benchmark Report. A lot of us are getting a piece of that pie.  Are you? If you aren't, it's most likely because you aren't treating your social media like a company or a real brand, which is why brands are not taking you seriously and why you aren't making money or solely getting products. Next, you are consuming more than you are creating, and you aren't taking content creation seriously like you would a real job.  What does that mean?  You aren't planning content, and you aren't making sure that your content aligns with brands that you want to work with.  In addition to content creation, you aren't thoroughly creating a game plan for success.  What are your weekly, monthly, and year-to-year goals?  You are posting every day and creating content, but what is your "why"?  What are you working towards each day? How do you define success?  How are you investing in your business?
2. You haven't identified the value you bring to brands.
Brands pay. Brands pay. Brands pay. Imagine that you are in an elevator with a marketing manager.  Do you have a 30-second pitch about who you are and what you do?  If you can't identify what you do, brands aren't going to hire you for any paid campaign.  What value do you bring to your audience that brands want to pay for?  Why would you hire yourself, if you owned a brand?  What brand aligns best with your content creation? Brands must see you, and you must engage with those brands on social media.
Brands pay big bucks for content and your audience.

3.  Speaking of content, is your content high-quality?  Brands are paying for high-quality content.  They want pictures to use for their own campaigns and marketing material.  Over 75% of the content that I create, brands pay me to use the pictures and videos for their own social media and marketing collateral. Influencer marketing isn't solely a follower thing or a numbers game, it's a content-creation market.  If you think that all you need is an iPhone and iPhone images, think again. That's not going to cut it.  There are several factors that go into the influencer selection for brands that are not only followers.  There are factors such as content, engagement, followers, and how you present yourself online.  When you have great content, it only leads to better and greater opportunities.  My content has me modeling for Reese Witherspoon's lifestyle brand, Draper James, or traveling to Bali for eight days to cover their food scene.
