Every month we will spotlight someone who is a part of or has contributed to Way Club!
Where are you from?
Philly born, Virginia raised.
What I love most about Philadelphia:
The holidays — we know how to have a good time! There is nothing better than Ben Franklin Parkway being shut down for a big celebration, or going to the Christmas Village at Love Park/City Hall. Philly always has music, food, and fun for all!
Your favorite high school memory:
My first and only professional acting experience was during my senior year when I was cast in a local dinner theaters production of Alice in Wonderland. It was such a blast working with the cast and doing one of my favorite things: singing!
Why did you decide to be a board member for Way Club?
To instill wisdom and lessons I've learned into those that come after me. This has been a passion since high school. If you have knowledge that can help someone else, why wouldn't you share it with them? I am a member of the Way club because I believe we have a responsibility to help the next generation succeed in ways older generations were not able to. At the Way Club, we create a safe space for Philly's teens to explore, learn and pursue what God has placed in them and where there dreams might take them.
What do you hope to see from Way Club this upcoming year?
After hearing the testimonies of the graduates from last year's Summer Growth Academy I would love to see double and triple the participation this coming summer. It is a unique and great opportunity to have one-on-one time and access with industry professionals that are invested in your success and development.
