Dear Downloader,

In the week that saw Kerby Jean-Raymond step down as Reebok’s creative director, the Winter Olympics kicked off in style in Beijing with sponsors ranging from SKIMS to Prada and Louis Vuitton, and Copenhagen Fashion Week ended on a colorful note with Ganni’s Love Forever Ever digital showcase.

Meanwhile, the fashion industry has been getting ready for Valentine’s Day, with special capsule collections being released by the likes of Balenciaga, Beyoncé’s Ivy Park, Gucci, Loewe, Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty, and more. But while they might have set our hearts aflutter, no recent campaign has whetted our sartorial appetite quite like Jacquemus’ Spring collection preview.

Titled 'Le Splash’ and shot by Tom Kneller and Zoey Radford, it features Puerto Rican musician Bad Bunny dressed in a number of looks from the French label’s latest menswear and womenswear collections, ranging from an acid green suit to a limoncello yellow sweater. As for the look de résistance? A pink linen dress worn with sky blue heels and tennis socks.

And while we patiently wait for the beginning of New York Fashion Week, check out the fourth instalment of our new podcast, The Guest. In this episode, Matthew Spade — aka @mat_buckets — discusses the eternal quest for the perfect grey sweatshirt, Charlie Chaplin's wide trousers and casual fashion in Japan with menswear writer and freelance creative consultant Sam Diss.

Until next week,
Morgane, Content Lead

CPHFW STREET STYLE
Copenhagen Fashion Week might have drawn to a close, but it seems shoppers aren't ready to move on just yet. Inspired by the attendees' street style, searches for neon heels (+51%), printed leggings (+27%) and the color pink (+55%) have all increased week-on-week, while interest in “quilted” and “padded” pants has increased 15%.
WORKWEAR PANTS
Currently one of the biggest trends on TikTok, workwear pants have caught shoppers’ attention. Week-on-week searches for the style have increased 21%, with pleated pants (+43%) being especially popular. The most wanted brands include The Row, Dickies and & Other Stories.
VALENTINE'S DAY
With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, lingerie is in the top 3 clothing categories on Lyst, and comfortable sets continue to be sought-after: searches for wireless push up bras (+50%), bralettes (+32%) and high-waisted panties (+40%) have all increased since the start of the month. Colorful lingerie sets are also trending (+43% week-on-week), with Savage x Fenty being amongst the most-wanted brands.
OLYMPIC FASHION
With its many sponsors, the Winter Olympics have been inspiring fashion lovers to shop. Over the past five days, we have seen an increase in searches for Ralph Lauren (+41%), SKIMS (+30%) and Ben Sherman (+22%), while searches for ski jackets have jumped 56%. Meanwhile, Julia Marino’s Prada snowboard has caused a 70% spike in searches for the brand’s skiwear pieces in less than 48 hours.

"This sweater really is a burst of serotonin. Although it belongs to the women’s section, I saw author Michael Dupouy wearing it for his book singing at the END. store in London, and I have been in love ever since. I’d style it with a heavyweight white tee and a pair of workwear pants. At the end of the day, gender labels don’t mean anything — if a fashion piece brings you joy and makes you feel good, then that’s what truly matters.
