The new areas of Circle are really starting to show positive progression.
We had our first Ten Pin Bowling Event for the East Manchester Circle at which Members had a fabulous time!
The Crompton Circle had a bumper turnout at a recent Coffee & Catch Up at the Shay Wake in Shaw, assisted by a healthy turnout by HMR Circle Members.
Our Prestwich Circle has now recruited its 2nd Volunteer Driver to help build the service in that area.
We have built up an attractive walking programme across our Circles.
We're launching a Prestwich Stroll - taking place on the last Tuesday of every month, 10:30am-11:30am.
We'll start at Prestwich Pharmacy, 40 Longfield Centre, Prestwich M25 1AY and afterwards head to a local coffee shop for a chat and well-deserved brew. This is an ideal walk for beginners.
We have also had a canal walk in East Manchester and a blustery walk up Tandle Hill!

As restrictions start to ease we can extend the numbers at the HMR Circle Lunch Club-Clubs.
The Lunch Club-Clubs take place every Friday at The Strand, Kirkholt and Tuesdays at St Ann's Church Hall, Belfield, both starting at 12 noon.
This Friday at Kirkholt its Beef Cobbler with Herb Glazed Carrots and Apple Sponge and Custard, all made from scratch on the day by Chef Ken, supported by Circle volunteers.
At Belfield on Tuesday it is Meat and Potato Pie, mushy peas and red cabbage, with apple crumble for pudding.
Both come with tea & coffee and have entertainment after lunch.
Each Lunch Club-Club is only £4.50.

We have recently expanded the areas we deliver the HMR Circle Dinner Driver's meals to.
We are now delivering to Kirkholt, Balderstone, Turf Hill, Queensway, Kingsway, Firgrove, Milnrow, Newhey and now we have added Norden, Spotland and Falinge, as we open up new areas.
The meals are just £3.50 delivered to your door with our February Menu being.
We have finally been able to unveil our completed Repaired, Refurbished and Renovated bench! here are a before and after picture.
We have cleaned up and de-rusted the iron work, re-painted and re-assembled, using new freshly treated slats and new nuts, bolts and screws.
HMR Circle Community Garden and Repair, Refurbish and Renovate regulars Barbara, Phil and David were on hand to test the bench.
We also had Shanika and Jane from the Watergrove Memory Assessment Service pay us a visit to have a tour of the Garden and what activities we have on offer.

The HMR Circle Quiz Time in partnership with Your Trust remains incredibly popular with over 50 teams/individuals taking part last week!
We have a group of volunteers who write the quizzes to keep them fresh and interesting!

The HMR Circle Digital Support Service just gets busier every week.
This week we have loaned out some equipment to new starters, helped with Blue Badge Applications, shown how to access iPlayer, taught about spreadsheets, Exel and Word. We have also shown how to use WhatsApp as well as hosting our busiest Digital Support class!
We have been able to secure some additional support for the HMR Circle Digital Support Service which will mean we will be able to help even more people with tuition and equipment.
And Finally!
On Monday the HMR Circle staff Team paid a visit to Loaded Burgers in Rochdale.
The "Team Feed" had been postponed from before Christmas due to Covid, but the event was arranged at short notice as our friend and colleague Kim is having to undergo a medical procedure which will see him out of action for several weeks.
As a last treat before his operation Kim decided to try and tackle the 'Fully Loaded', what the venue calls its 'Poster Boy Burger'.
Despite his best effort in the battle of 'Kim Versus Food', food was definitely the winner on this occasion!
We had a great night and we look forward to getting Kim back fit and healthy so we can have another 'Circle Team Feed!'
