We recently began a new Preaching Series entitled Journey Together To Eternal Life, setting the stage for the launch of our Pastoral Plan, which will guide Christ the King Parish for the next three years. Our parish needs your support to bring this plan to fruition. Thank you to all who already attended one of our Town Hall sessions. You can still participate in one of the upcoming Virtual Town Hall Meetings to learn more and to be a part of this exciting journey for our parish:

  • Wednesday, February 16 – 7pm (Interpretation services provided) (Register here)
  • Thursday, February 24 – 7pm (En Français) (Register here)

We need your help! As part of our Archdiocesan Synod listening process, we want to hear from people who are not currently engaged in our Church, whether they are  fallen away Catholics or people with no experience in the Catholic Church. We’ve opened a short, anonymous online survey which YOU can share with people outside our Church community. We are hopeful that it will provide us with useful opinions and information on how to better reach out to those in our midst. The survey can be found at halifaxyarmouth.org/survey.

In preparation for Ash Wednesday, please drop off any palms you may have from last year so they can be burned and used as ashes on Ash Wednesday. Drop-off boxes will be available in the entryway of both our sites.

Beginning Monday, 2021 Tax Receipts are available for pickup from the office between 10am-1pm, Monday to Friday.

Now that our Emergency Shelter guest is settled in, the Shelter Committee is working with him to determine how we can best help him over the next four months. He has a vehicle and would appreciate any gift cards for groceries and gas. Gift cards can be dropped off at the parish office. Thank you for your ongoing generosity and support!

The Simon J. Khattar Scholarship from the Knights of Columbus is valued at $1,000 (non-renewable) and is open to all practicing Catholics who are residents of Nova Scotia who are entering first year of university, college, or community college. Click here for the scholarship application form. The completed application form and the required documents must be returned to the parish office by March 11, 2022. For further information contact Brian MacIntyre (902-452-3963) or George Pelletier (902-237-5151).
