Our featured speaker will be Dr. Eleanor Lopez who has a Doctorate in Plant Medicine from the University of Florida. She is the lead diagnostician at the University of Tennessee Extension plant pest diagnostic lab in Nashville and is a adjunct professor in the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology at UT Knoxville. The TNPS Seminar series continues with a presentation by Darel Hess on Tuesday, February 15, at 6:30 PM CST. Darel's topic will be Wildflower Photography. Nashville Lawn & Garden Show
|

This 4-day show will be Thursday through Sunday, March 3-6. Our chapter is helping staff a double booth representing Wild Ones Middle Tennessee Chapter, Tennessee Native Plant Society, Tennessee Invasive Plant Council, and the Tennessee Naturalist Program. Additional volunteers are needed to staff the booth. Please contact Margie Hunter and let her know what times you are available if you are associated with at least one of the represented groups. Of special note is Margie Hunter's presentation Saturday afternoon at 1 PM on Beyond Aesthetics: Garden As If Life Depends On It in the Lecture Hall. Richard Hitt will also serve as a panelist for a taping of Volunteer Gardener hosted by Troy Marden and member Julie Berbiglia on Friday, March 4, 2:30 - 4:30 in the lecture hall.

Perennial Plant Society Meeting

Richard Hitt will be the speaker at the next meeting of the Perennial Plant Society of Middle Tennessee. His topic will be Native Plants in the Landscape ... and the Life They Support. This will be an updated version of the presentation he gave at the our January 2021 meeting of Wild Ones.
