Hello there, beautiful soul!

Hope this message finds you well.

And that's a wrap - Fund7 has come to a close. Missed the memo? Check this email instead.

I know this is a proud moment for many who have worked so hard over the course of past three months. However, we should not forget even those that did not make the funding cut this round. I have a high admiration and respect for everyone who has participated. It is not easy by any means. It is freaking hard in fact. It is your courage to make yourselves vulnerable and submit yourselves to the collaboration process that makes me proud of everyone, not just those funded.

For everyone who has found themselves a little short this round - I am hoping that you will double down on all the learnings and come back swinging.

As you do - I will be cheering for you from the front row seat. Thank you for allowing me to watch you grow.

D.

What's the election process like?

  • Voting for the General ADA Holders functional group will take place in the main zoom room for everyone to participate
  • Voting for all other Functional Groups will take place in breakout rooms
  • There will be 4 breakout rooms, one for each of the remaining electable seats
  • In each room, you will find a host and voting coordinator
    • Each nominee will have 5 minutes to present
    • Once all the nominees have presented, the room will have 5 minutes to vote via a voting form
    • In case of a tie, there will be a run-off election for the tied nominees with the highest number of votes (5 extra minutes for voting).
    • While voting will be anonymous, each person can only vote one time in one room. The voting coordinator will be counting and verifying the votes.

Help us get better

Every fund we strive to push the needle of iteration as fast and as much forward as possible. Part of it is listening to you and looking at the priorities. We can't do it all at once. This helps us identify opportunities for maximum impact. And your participation is crucial.

I personally take time to go through every submission and making sure relevant teams get eyes on it.

I would appreciate greatly if you would spend few minutes helping us with this feedback form. Please, share with your fellow community members as well.

It will help us get better. Thank you in advance.

In Memory of Philip Chang

With a heavy heart, we are saying goodbye to our friend and dear colleague Philip Chang. Philip suddently passed away a week ago. He joined IO as a Voltaire Product Manager last year. Philip was of an extremely curious mind with seemingly never ending patience and calmness. He was leading the way in pushing boundaries of decentralized governance. Listen to few moments shared by fellow team members during this past town hall.

Philip always loved to connect with the community in personal conversations to better understand intricacies of our collective work. Many of you may have had the chance to meet him in person or on various calls. We are sad that he won't be here with us to share the joys of the outcome of the work he was such a crucial part of.

One of the future Voltaire HFC events will be dedicated to him.

Philip, we'll miss you dearly. 💔
