Today is NYS Community Schools Advocacy Day!
Take Action Now for Community Schools!

Today is the day to raise your voice to support community schools in New York State!

Governor Hochul's Executive Budget proposal did not include any new investments directly for community schools. Now, more than ever, our students, families, teachers, and communities need the supports the community schools strategy provides.

Today, please take 5 minutes from your day and support increased funding for the community schools strategy by:

  • Calling and/or emailing your representatives in the NYS Senate and Assembly. A sample script is available in this toolkit or use this take action link.
  • Joining us on Twitter using #NYSCommunitySchools. Sample tweets are available in this toolkit.
  • Watching a legislative briefing on community schools at 5pm (see below).
