March 2022:
Updates and Annual Manure Sale

March 2nd, 2022
Dear KTFC Community,

Indoor competition season wrapped up with the Van Ryswyk Indoor Invitational and the BC Masters Indoor Championships last weekend. We received numerous compliments from the out of town athletes who attended! We are very appreciative for all of the officials and volunteers who made this meet possible.

March is a busy month as we prepare for our annual manure sale! Sales are now open. We are heavily reliant on families to assist us with this effort as it is our main fundraiser for the year and allows us to continue to train indoors by paying our rent to use the TCC each year. Kindly take the time to read the information below on how you can assist.

Outdoor registration is open and we have space in all of our programming. Spots are limited now, however, in our programs for athletes aged 13 and younger. We are looking forward to a busy outdoor competition season as COVID restrictions ease and capacity limits are no longer an issue!

Manure Sale

Sales are OPEN!

Our 29th Annual Manure Sale is underway! This year we are selling 20lb bags for $7.00 each which will make hauling and distribution into gardens much easier. We are offering a pick up service with optional delivery for seniors by request only.

Our pick up days for the sale are:
  • March 26/27 from 10am-4pm
  • April 2/3 10am-4pm
The location for pick up is 1452 McGill Rd (the empty dirt parking lot next to Fortis Gas). We will have clear signage on the chain-link fencing this year.

CLICK HERE for more information on our product and how to order.

How can you help?

1) Share our campaign on social media
  • Share, like, comment and/or invite a friend to our event on Facebook and Instagram. This will assist us with getting the word out and is the most cost effective way to advertise our sale.
2) Spread the word amongst friends and family

3) Hand out flyers in your neighborhood
  • Each family will be given flyers to distribute in their neighborhoods next week at practice. Head out with your family!
4) Volunteer on the pick up days
  • We will need approximately 6 volunteers for the three hour shifts each day that we are offering pick up.
  • Natasha Little, our new Volunteer Coordinator, will be sending all members a volunteer sign up sheet soon.
5) Calls to past customers
  • Email Judy Armstrong at judy54armstrong@gmail.com if you are interested in calling past customers to inform them that sales are open and to assist with orders for those who do not use the online sale option.
We appreciate everyone's time and effort! We have 6,000 bags to sell, so please help us promote, promote, promote!
