THE BC ATHLETICS OUTSTANDING
ATHLETES OF THE YEAR ARE...
Camryn Rogers (Kajaks Track & Field Club) and Nate Riech (Unattached BC)
Camryn Rogers (Kajaks Track & Field Club) was the NCAA D1 Champion in the Hammer Throw, breaking the NCAA and U23 Canadian Record! She finished her season with a 5th place finish at her first Olympics.
Nate Riech (Unattached BC) had a record breaking season, lowering his World Record in the T38 1500m 3 times, and setting a new Canadian Record in the T38 5000m. He capped off his season with a Paralympic Gold medal and new Games Record.
Congratulations to all of our 2021 BC Athletics Award Nominees and Recipients.

June 22-26, 2022
Don't miss the action! Volunteers for Championship week are currently being recruited. This is a fun way to take in the action and help bring the event to life!

The Performance Coach Course is Coming to Vancouver
This is the last chance to be trained as Performance Coach before the requirements are updated in 2023. Registration details are coming soon.
We have an exciting line up of facilitators with Mike Van Tighem (Endurance), Jason Reindl (Sprints/Hurdles and Combined Events), Carmyn James (Jumps) and Kim Cousins (Throws). Performance Coach will also be offered in Calgary over Easter Weekend.

We are excited to announce the 45 athletes who will receive funding through the BC Athletics Athlete Assistance Program for their performances during the 2021 outdoor season. 18 of these athletes are receiving funding through the AAP program for the first time. CONGRATULATIONS!
Selection Criteria for the 2022/23 program will be announced in Spring 2022

Officials Town Hall
All BC Athletics Officials are invited to a one-hour video conference town hall session on March 31, 2022 from 7:00 to 8:00pm. Session will cover plans for 2022. Registration available on the Officials section of BC Athletics website.

Results & Performances are NOT recognized Provincially or Nationally unless a competitive membership is in place at the time they are achieved.
Criminal Record Checks (every 5 years) and/or Proof of Vaccinations are required for some membership types and roles.

The BC Athletics Board of Directors has approved the updated BC Athletics Membership - Acknowledgements & Agreements document that forms part of the BC Athletics membership application process. By joining and signing the BC Athletics Membership application through a member club or as an unattached member, the participant acknowledges and agrees to the BC Athletics statements, policies and conditions of membership with BC Athletics:
- Safety / Acknowledgement of Risk
- Public Health Guidelines and Safe Sport
- BC Athletics Privacy Policy
- Canadian Anti-Doping Program (CADP)

BC Athletics High Performance & BC Team Fund - Donate Today!
BC Athletics provides support for athletes and coaches with the goal of strong representation and podium performances at National championships, advancing more BC athletes to National Teams, and Podium Performances at International competition. You can support the BC Athletics High Performance & BC Team Fund through a donation (Tax Receipts can be issued) to the BC Amateur Sport Fund.
