Hello, friends! Life continues to be hectic. I'm not reading or writing nearly as much as I'd like, but that's pretty on brand for me. One thing I noticed as I was putting together this week's newsletter is how two of the three "Stuff I read" entries tie directly to my homeland. It's not intentional, but it may not be entirely coincidental either.
I was sure that I'd made my last trip down to help with my parents' move. I was wrong. Sunday (the previous one, not today), I drove Mom down to grab a few things that Dad had left behind. She met with the real estate agent to sign the "yes, you can sell my house for me, thanks" papers. It made for a long day, but I completed the scavenger hunt, and the house is nearly ready to go on the market. It feels nice to have that not be a thing on my plate anymore. And if you're looking for a small, three-bedroom fixer-upper in the Floyds Knobs, Indiana area, I know a place.
