Sharing God's Love

Last Sunday our high school youth group, along with our New Orleans Mission Team, participated in a project to support One80 Place and those experiencing homelessness.  The middle school youth group, along with our Asheville Mission Team and Confirmation Class, prepared care packages for the teenagers who live at the Thornwell Home.  Thanks to the generosity of many, both One80 Place and the Thornwell Home for Children will receive some much needed supplies.  Check out photos from the event

We Need One or Two More Worksites on Saturday!

The New Orleans and Asheville Youth Mission Teams have their annual workday fundraiser on Saturday, March 5 from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Do you have some housework or yard work for them to do? Simply call or email Tina Johnson (843-722-8882, tjohnson@first-scots.org) and let her know the type of work (please have all supplies and equipment ready), the number of people needed for the job, and the time frame desired. All donations for work done will go toward the cost of the mission trips.

Congregational Ice Cream Social

We're hosting an ice cream social for the congregation on Sunday, March 13 in Molly Wier Hall!  While the event is from 5:30-6:30pm, youth and youth advisors are asked to arrive at 5pm and stay until 7pm to help setup and cleanup the event.  In addition to the frozen dessert, we'll also be sharing pizza and leading games.  This is a family friendly event for people of all ages and there is no cost to attend.  Please RSVP using our Ice Cream Social SignUpGenius.  Thanks!

Recently Updated First (Scots) COVID-19 Protocol:

Masks are optional for all children and adults.  If you prefer to wear a mask and/or practice physical distancing, you are encouraged to do so.  This policy applies to all children and adults on Sundays and throughout the week and includes staff and volunteers, including those who work with children and adults.  The one exception is that those who work in the nursery will continue to wear masks during their time of service.
