The Russian Invasion of Ukraine has brought over 40,000 women and young children refugees into its neighbor, Moldova. These war refugees have flooded into Chisinau, Moldova’s capital. Sadly, Moldova is the poorest country in Europe, whose government has no resources to offer these refugees. Our volunteers in Moldova have told us how heartbreaking it is to see these women and children who have nothing but the clothes they are wearing, knowing that their country can do little for them.
In the face of this humanitarian emergency, for the next several weeks Save the Orphans will temporarily expand its mission to include helping these war refugees. With your help, our network of volunteers in Moldova will assist in providing food, clothing, diapers, and other necessities to Ukrainian war refugees in Chisinau. Together, we can help these women and children through the uncertain days to come.
