We have 6 updates to share with you in today's newsletter:

(1) Ramadan Mubarak!: the first day of fasting will be Friday, April 2. We have a message for you from the AMA President and our Imam.

#2. The Official Announcement from the Council of Imams of Ottawa-Gatineau

In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. All praise is for Allah Almighty.

Ramadan (1443 – 2022) Announcement 

All praise is for Allah Almighty. May the peace and blessing be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, the faithful companions, and all those who follow them.

Based on the moon sighting confirmation consistent with the global moon sighting criterion, the Council of Imams of Ottawa-Gatineau hereby declares that the first of Ramadan will be on Saturday, April 2, 2022. Accordingly, Taraweeh prayers will begin tonight, Friday, April 1, 2022 In Sha’ā Allah.

#3. Ramadan at AMA

Ramadan Mubarak! May Allah accept from us our fasting and good deeds. We are excited and grateful to spend Ramadan at Masjid Ar-Rahmah again, Alhamdolillah!  Here are some important announcements regarding Taraweeh prayer.

Important Announcements:

  • Iqamah for Isha prayer today is at 9:00 PM inshaAllah. Tomorrow the iqamah for Isha prayer will be at 9:30 PM.
     
  • This year we will offer iftar meals every weekend on Saturday and Sunday. From Monday to Friday only dates and water will be served.

Throughout the month of Ramadan, our team is planning virtual activities and beneficial video reminders for you to benefit from.
