For the season of Lent, La Trinidad UMC is providing devotional crosses and Lenten prayer calendars to members of our worshiping community. The March-April editions of The Upper Room devotional guide are also available. These materials can be obtained at the Ash Wednesday worship service on March 2, 2022 at 6:30 P.M. or picked up with communion curbside from 10 AM - 12 PM on Saturday, March 5, 2022.
Returning to In-Person Worship and Activities
We are pleased to report that COVID-19 conditions have significantly improved in Bexar County. We encourage those living within the San Antonio area to participate on-site in worship and fellowship events. Church Council will be meeting on Sunday March 20 (4:00 P.M.) to review the church's mask policy in light of new CDC guidance.
La Trinidad UMC will continue live broadcasts of weekly and special worship services through the church YouTube channel.
Gymnasium Renovation Underway
Work is progressing on the renovations to the church gymnasium. Improvements will include a new athletic floor, retractible basketball hoops, an electronic scoreboard (donated from another church), new paint, acoustical improvements, and a new lighting and electrical system capable of hosting all our events, together with draining and driveway improvements outside. For your safety, please do not enter the gym area while this work is underway. Special offerings toward this project are still being received and will help provide new furnishings.
Sunday Nights Are Family Night
La Trinidad UMC resumes its weekly "Family Night" program this Sunday, March 6, 2022 (5-7 PM) with a movie screening in the church parlor. Family Night features a variety of activities for families, children, youth, and young adults and will be utilizing various spaces in the church facility.

Application Deadline Extended for Church and Society Summer Internship Program for College Students of Color
The General Board of Church and Society (GBCS) of the United Methodist Church (UMC) announced that applications for the Ethnic Young Adult Internship (EYA) 2022 program have been extended to March 20, 2022. EYA internships offer students of color experience working in Washington, D.C. with GBCS and partner organizations for social advocacy and justice.
La Trinidad United Methodist Church is pleased to collaborate with the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry to provide this informative webinar about higher education loans and scholarships available through the United Methodist Church.
The webinar will feature Allyson Potts, executive director of loans and scholarships for GBHEM, and Rev. David Martinez, and will be conducted through ZOOM on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 7 PM Central Standard Time.

SAWS customers can earn WaterSaver Rewards for learning about water conservation — and cash in when purchasing water-saving materials for the landscape! SIGNING UP

If you’re new to the program, getting started is simple and free! Sign up online (all participants must be a SAWS residential water customer and at least 21 years old.) SCORING POINTS
Visit the GardenStyleSA.com events calendar to find upcoming WaterSaver Rewards events and programs. When attending eligible events, make sure to register AND sign in with your Rewards number – normally this is the mobile number used when you apply for the program. (At online events, you’ll need to complete the “quiz” at the end of the class to receive credit.) Event organizers will submit your attendance to SAWS Conservation, and coupons will be automatically emailed to you when you've earned 3, 5, and 7 points. REWARDS
Coupon values correspond to the number of points you earn:
· Three points earns $30
· Five points earns $50
· Seven points earns $70
