The Brainerd Public Library was established in 1899 and was a founding member of the Kitchigami Regional Library system in 1969. The Library's mission is to bring people, information, and ideas together to enrich lives and build community.

AARP TAX-AIDE APPOINTMENTS
We are currently taking reservations for AARP Tax-Aide Services appointments, to be held at the Westgate Mall. This is a free service provided by volunteers, to taxpayers with low and middle income in Crow Wing County. Call the library at 218-829-5574 to make an appointment.

Federal Tax Forms 1040 & 1040-SR, plus instructions, are currently available at the library. To get the most up-to-date information on forms and filing dates please visit the US department of revenue website and the Minnesota Department of Revenue website.

RayAnne’s next adventure takes our intrepid heroine, haunted by her beloved grandmother’s death, to New Zealand to film a new season of her all-women fishing talk show. Ready or not, RayAnne is putting the cold Minnesota winter in the rearview mirror—which, it turns out, her grandmother is haunting, too. No registration is necessary.

Author Event: Anton Treuer*

Please join us in the large meeting room, Wednesday, March 9, at 12:00 NOON, for a discussion with author Anton Treuer, about his new book Everything You Wanted To Know About Indians But Were Afraid To Ask. Treuer is a Professor of Ojibwe at Bemidji State University and the author of many books. His equity, education, and cultural work has put him on a path of service around the region, the nation, and the world. No registration is required. Masks are strongly encouraged.

The Brainerd Book Club will meet on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 1 pm on Zoom for our next book discussion: Send For Me by Lauren Fox.
