New Series

Boss

Raise your hand if you’ve ever wanted to scream, “You’re not the boss of me!” (You can also raise your hand if you have, in fact, actually screamed it.) Especially when we’re teenagers, we tend to push back on the people, places, and things that control and hold authority over us. But here’s the catch: whether we admit it or not, we’ve all given someone (or something) control of our lives. In this 4-week series, we’ll challenge students to consider who, or what, they’ve allowed to be their boss. Because whether it’s the god of me, the god of stuff, the god of worry, or the god of obsession, we all know what it’s like to have an authority problem.

We're on Week 2 of this series where we'll look at the god of stuff. Coincidentally, next week is the start of Lent!
A Challenge for Us All

On March 2nd, the season of Lent begins. This is a time that commemorates Jesus' 40 day fast in the desert (Luke 4) and challenges people to give something up (fast) for 40 days before Easter as we acknowledge that Jesus is greater than any sort of stuff that can consume our time and money.

As we are talking about the god of stuff tomorrow, this is an oportune time for us to put into practice what we are learning.
Would you consider giving up somthing and challenging your student to do the same for 40 days?

As we focus on Christ, I am convinced that this will be a life enriching practice, receiving life from the Author of Life.
This Saturday

The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly walk to raise money for local charities serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. Team up, walk, and fundraise! It’s cold out there... but there’s no place like home.
