Hey <<First Name>> who’s talking about you?

Terrific testimonials, raving reviews and phenomenal feedback can make your day, AND improve your business bottom line.

Even taking ego out of the mix, it's clarification that you are on track with your passion and your mission.

Do you ask for them?
Or do you think clients/customers will provide them as a matter of course?

Firstly, everyone is B.U.S.Y.

Its safe to assume that no one is going to provide a review if they aren’t asked.
So ask.

The best possible time to ask is when your client is most excited, and keep in mind that may not be at the end of your working relationship.

Secondly, you need to make it easy for them.

They really don’t know what to write, aside from the fact they loved working with you. Consider putting together something that may assist – like a template. You can find an easy template here.
Online forms can help, but often a quick email response is best.

Don’t ask for feedback when people are in a rush or distracted, and don’t expect a video testimonial from clients unfamiliar with technology.

You may not even get  a response when you have made it super easy – see point above. So ask again.

Thirdly, you need to use these statements across your marketing.

These testimonials / reviews are awesome social proof.

When your prospective clients read these reviews it validates their decision to work with you and when it comes to your existing clients, these comments can prompt more testimonials- or more work.

Now's the time to reach out and ask for testimonials / reviews / feedback, and make it a habit.

Til next time

Sharon
