We have a new feature wall in the Office! Ako the Active Learner is our school mascot and personifies the school's vision for learning. Ako demonstrates the 5 characteristics we are passionate about developing in all our ākonga (learners).

Furthermore, this year we are working with the Education Review Office (ERO) as part of their new Evaluation Partner Framework, to develop key milestones ākonga will be expected to develop as they grow to be like Ako.

For more information, please read our school website which explains more about each of Ako's 5 characteristics.

He can always be relied upon to be on task, working hard and helping others, without being prompted or reminded by the teacher. Ka pai William!
Thank you…to the wonderful workers who turned up and powered through our annual school Working Bee on Saturday 12 Feb. What a difference a community makes!
We are grateful to Anna and Cary for donating two sheep to graze our small paddock next to the main car park.
FYI the students have voted and named them Shampoo and Fluffy (Fluffy is the one with the darker nose featured in the photo). They are friendly so feel free to pop past and say "hi."
Chatbus continues to offer FREE counselling to our students 1 day a week on our school site. In 2022 our day is Thursday.

Your child can self refer by completing a short slip in the school office or you can email the counsellor with a parent referral at this address: miles.chatbus@gmail.com This service is professional and confidential.

CLICK HERE to view the Chatbus South Facebook page. Alternatively if you have any questions, please contact the Princpal.

To support you with setting Hero up effectively, we have created the following short videos:
Video 1: App Notifications Preferences
Video 2: How to ensure you don’t miss any Hero Notifications through the app
If your child is late or absent from school, a quick way to notify the School Office and teachers at the same time, is to use the Hero app to notify us. Please make sure this is done before 8.50am in the morning
We have a new sign-in/out tablet for visitors, contractors, relievers, etc. This now extends to parents who are coming onsite for meetings (not for drop off or pick up) and also for students who arrive late or need to go home early.
It syncs with our Student Management System, streamlines systems in the Office and ensures we keep a detailed record of day to day personnel on-site especially during this Covid season.
