Asking for your prayer and cooperation
What a contrast..... Happy and Sad, Free and Captured.
Happy that the corona measures have been relaxed, but very sad about what is happening in Ukraine.
While part of the country is cautiously celebrating carnival again after two years, another part still has to keep distance and continue to wear a face mask, for example because of fragile health.
While the storm has passed over the Netherlands, last weekend, and the first harbingers of spring are visible, a human storm is raging over Ukraine.
Therefore we ask your continuous prayers for Ukraine.
Furthermore, we ask you to continue to take each other into account. and to adhere to the general hygiene advices that prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Happy news at Parish level
Next Sunday Zia Hoseini will be baptized during the International Mass.
It also will be the first Sunday that we are allowed to drink coffee/tea again!
Before corona, it was tradition that some ICC members (if they felt like it) brought (home made) cookies or cakes with them for coffee/tea. If you feel like it, don't hesitate to continue this tradition ;o)

Corona measures in our parish
YES !
Most of the corona measures are a thing of the past for the time being !
We are not obliged anymore to wear a face mask or to keep 1.5 meter distance, and we are allowed to drink coffee/tea after Mass again.
There will still be parishioners, however, who have to keep distance or wear a face mask due to fragile health or for other reasons. We therefore ask everyone to continue to follow the hygiene rules, to continue to respect each other and to continue to take each other into account, so that everyone can feel welcome and can celebrate the liturgy in our church safely.
Exceptions
The following measures remain the same:
Collection: Cash or digitally after Mass or by bankaccount
While wishing each other for peace: Don't shake hands
Thank you !
Thank all of you for your prayer, your patience and cooperation, and many thanks for all who have contributed in giving everybody the opportunity to visit our church in a safe way until now !
Let's pray the situation will continue to develop in a positive way.

Preparing / serving / cleaning
We are allowed to drink coffee/tea again after mass !
But before we can drink coffee/tea, it has to be prepared and served.
And afterwards the dishes have to be done, and things have to be cleaned.
So... we need volunteers !

Ash Wednesday as day of prayer and fastening for Ukraine
From the Vatican News:
Last Wednesday (Feb 23) Pope Francis made a heartfelt appeal for peace in Ukraine.
He invited everyone to make Ash Wednesday, a Day of Fasting for Peace.
"I pray that the queen of peace will preserve the world for the badness of war"

Lent: Virtual way of the Cross
Two years ago at the beginning of the coronacrisis we made a recording of Father Henri praying the Way of the Cross in the St Bernulphus church in Oosterbeek. If you want to pray the way of the Cross at home, this may be of help.
The stations of this Way of the Cross are painted by the famous Dutch painter Jan Toorop
