EuroMarine Digest 128 - 03 March 2022

EuroMarine Open Science Day and General Assembly Meeting 2022
The EuroMarine Open Science Day and General Assemble was held virtually on 17th and 18th of February 2022 with over 100 participants.
Day one, the EuroMarine Open Science Day discussed “How can the marine research community contribute to address the global ocean challenges?”  The stimulating day explored key considerations, opportunities and challenges for the marine research community and identified how EuroMarine can support its members going forward.
On day two the EuroMarine General Assembly was open to any staff/students from EuroMarine members. Based on the outcomes of day 1,  day 2 was a facilitated discussion on the EuroMarine Strategy for the next two years. The main focus was what services are needed by member organisations to support their work role in addressing the global marine challenges.
Over the 2 days, there were a variety of insightful presentations sparking rich discussions, all which will help shape the future of EuroMarine and provide more opportunities for our members!
