Events in local sustainability this March
Farm days

We will gradually start getting on with our spring tasks

We meet at the Community Farm or the Community Orchard in Poundbury on
Sunday afternoons at around 2pm

and also on

Wednesday mornings at 10.30

We will hope to start planting things in the polytunnel, as the days lengthen and warm up, and for people to start off on their windowsills.  The raised beds will soon need weeding, we haven't quite finished the rabbit fence, and we will need to sort out our water supply.  There is still some work to do in the orchard on the hedges and trees.

The site is large and it is easy to socially distance.  Email us if you'd like to come along.

Railway Orchard
We will meet on
Saturday 5th March at 11am.

The brambles are spreading again, so bring secateurs or loppers.  Or just come for a chat!
Uh-oh...  Storm Eunice didn't spare our polytunnel...
...but we all rallied and got it battened down again very efficiently.

Tree planting
We have received trees from the
Woodland Trust
for planting.  We will do some community hedge planting on
Sunday 20 March,
meeting by the gate to the Community Farm at 2pm.

Please bring a trowel, fork, spade or a mattock.
We are planning to provide tea and cakes afterwards.  Please feel free to bring some contributions to the cake table!
The Repair Cafe is still taking place on the last Sunday morning of every month, but now it is using different venues each month.  Check the facebook page (Dorchester Repair Cafe) for the next event.
