As Black History Month is coming to a close, we are looking for ways to support Black farmers all year round! Check out this list that Joe at Atiba Farm put together of Black-owned farms to support in Ontario. Atiba Farm will be back at the market soon with more greens, along with Sundance Harvest, and Deeper Roots Farm and the Ubuntu Community Collective will return in the spring.

We've been notified that per the Province's guidelines proof of vaccination will no longer be required to enter the building after March 1. This means that tomorrow is the last day that we will be checking vaccination status. Masks will be still be required to enter the building, per Toronto bylaw 541-2020. We will continue the order pickup and shopping services for those of you who prefer to stay outdoors.

Don't forget to check out our blog post about the huge impact two years of COVID have had on our farmers and vendors. We've been inspired by their perseverance and continual determination to adapt to this new reality, but it's been a very difficult time, and we're grateful to them for pushing through, time and time again. We're also grateful to you for recognizing the importance of local family farms and food producers, and for continuing to strengthen local food systems by supporting our market.

You can find the vendor roster for this week with contact information below. We also have the complete roster on our website; don't forget to check in with your favourite vendors to find out how you can order from them during the week.

COVID Protocols

We are back to our hybrid model, with vendors inside and outside the building. We will be able to have 300 people inside the building at a time. Please make sure you maintain a 2m distance from people outside of your household.

Per Artscape's rules, we will continue to check proof of vaccination and photo ID at the entrance. If you were vaccinated in Ontario, your proof of vaccination must include your QR code; you can download your code here and we can scan it from your phone or a printout.

If you prefer to stay outside, our volunteers will continue to offer our cash-only shopping service and order pickup depot. You'll find them at the market exit; please knock on the glass to get their attention.

Masks are mandatory inside the building, per the City of Toronto's bylaw 541-2020. Please make sure to keep your mask over your nose, mouth, and chin at all times when you are indoors. We know there are lots of delicious things to eat and drink at the market, but please remember to enjoy them outside the building.

Thank you for your continued support of our market.

Our biweekly vendors this week are First Fish, Fratelli Martelli, and Windswept Cider. Motherdough is back! You'll find them in their usual spot next to Sonam's Momos and Earth and City. Alex at Secret Lands Farm is recovering from a broken ankle and will be taking a few weeks off.
