Evening of Confession

5-8pm, March 16, Diocesan-Wide

Across the diocese parishes will be open for this healing Sacrament on that Wednesday, two weeks into Lent.  Ask your leadership teens to witness on the profound gift of the Sacrament and invite their friends, parents, and siblings to Reconciliation at your parish on that day. What a statement it would make to the rest of the parishioners to see young people waiting in line that evening!  Share this promo video with them.

Nine Nights of Night Prayer

8pm, March 17-25

Invite and bring teens and young adults to the prayer of the Church at nine different parishes from March 17-25.  The churches, spread across the diocese, will be open 8-8:45pm each night.  You can go to Night Prayer at the same parish all nine nights, make it a pilgrimage and visit a new parish each night, or just pop in one evening.

This initiative is to help get people back into our churches, with an easy invite to a quick prayer. The young man in the picture and video from the Evening of Confession (above) is one person who curiously wandered into a church open for Nine Nights last August.  He is currently in RCIA.

Find more info HERE, including names & addresses of the parishes for this round.

Catholic Youth Minsitry Convention

June 12-15, Scottsdale, AZ

If you’ve been involved with youth ministry over these past couple of years, chances are your head has been filled with a variety of voices telling you why you should stop. But, as real and varied as these difficulties are, one thing does not change: the teenagers in your parish still need you.

You might be bruised, beaten, and broken but you’re still an integral part of Jesus’s plan for their salvation. In fact – if you let it – this broken yet persistent dedication will be the vessel through which your teens experience God’s grace in action.

Get refreshed, refocused, and fed at this event hosted by Life Teen. You do not need to be a subscribing parish to participate.  Last year over 50 Cleveland youth ministers, priests, and volunteers attended. More info HERE.  Questions? Contact Francine.

Coffee & Conversation

The Director of Youth Ministry would love to have one-on-one conversations with youth ministers, campus ministers, priests, or any who serve middle or high school teens in our diocese.  If you would like to share feedback, ask questions, or pray with Francine, please sign up in one of the slots HERE.  You pick the location and the Office of Youth Ministry will pick up the check - a coffee shop, restaurant, your parish, a park, Zoom... wherever you like.
