Eight Sunday in Ordinary Time / 29th February 2022 - Issue 91

Hello <<First Name>>,

What do you see when you look in the garden - the decaying brown leaves or the bright yellow narcissi?
When you look through a window what do you pay attention to - the steaks on the pane of glass or the rays of sunshine?
We have choices everywhere, even in the everyday mundane that surrounds us.

As we soon begin a journey through another Lent - what opportunities will we see and choose to take?

Pass this newsletter onto a friend (or stranger!) and encourage others to sign up so they can be connected.

FAITH GATHERINGS

Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time
“No good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit.”
This parable invites us to examine the motivation behind what we do. If our basic motivation is love, then our lives will bear good fruit. If love is absent from our lives then the fruits will be conflict, disharmony and abuse of people for our own selfish ends.

Prayer
O Lord, enrich our hearts with the goodness of your wisdom and renew us from within, that all our actions, all our words, may bear the fruit of your transforming grace.  Amen.

(adapted from reflections on the Gospel by Kieran O’Mahony OSA, www.tarsus.ie )
