A meeting will be held on Monday, March 7th at 5:00 p.m. at Church Street Cafe to talk about starting a new association in Old Town. RSVP to Marie@churchstreetcafe.com or call 505-550-6702.

Marie's post follows:

OLD TOWN ASSOCIATION MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT
It takes a Village. And in our case, an Old Town village comprised of merchants, residents, and property owners.

The previous Old Town Merchants Association disbanded in 2018. Since then, there has been no organized Old Town voice representing everyone’s needs and interests. We all need to work together to make Old Town a fun vibrant and safe place. And we need an Old Town representative voice at City Hall.

There’s no better time than now to create a newer, better and all-inclusive Old Town Neighborhood Association. To that end, you are invited to attend a development meeting to begin development of a new association for Old Town to represent everyone and to benefit all.

WHAT: OT Association Organization Planning & Development Meeting
WHERE: Church Street Café
WHEN: Monday, March 7, 2022, 5PM

This invitation is open to all interested parties. We welcome everyone and encourage residents, property owners and merchants all to attend.

VIRTUAL PUBLIC MEETING ON BELLAMAH AVENUE EXTENSION PROJECT
Belllamah Avenue extension
The City of Albuquerque Municipal Development is currently designing improvements to Bellamah Avenue from 12th Street to Sawmill Village.

The project addresses pedestrian and vehicular needs within the corridor. Primary elements of the roadway design include connection of the Sawmill Village to 12th Street, construction of pedestrian and bicyclist facilities, reconstruction of the roadway pavement, drainage improvements, addition of street lighting, right-of-way acquisitions, and utility relocations.

This upcoming meeting will inform the community regarding the conceptual design elements and solicit feedback on the layout of these proposed improvements.
