March Surprise!

But wait, I didn't think you raised lamb at Spray Creek Ranch??? Well, we didn't -- until earlier this month when we got an email from a customer asking if we were interested in her small flock of Katahdin Hair Sheep, which she had been raising with care on organic pasture at her little ranch in Interior BC.  This was exactly the type of sheep we knew we wanted 'someday', but didn't think we were ready to add to the farm for another couple of years.  But it seems opportunities always present themselves to us just a little bit before we are totally 'ready' (or maybe we never feel ready?), so here we are, with a beautiful flock of sheep in the barnyard, lambing away and ready to hit the pasture come springtime.  Looks like we've got some fencing to build!
