| | | Every month we thank our volunteers with a small treat. In January we gave out fruity lip balm to stave off chapped lips. During February, the month of Valentine’s Day, we thanked everyone a “Choco-Lot” with Hershey Kisses. This month, volunteers can grab Tic Tacs when they come in and out. These are just small ways we show our appreciation, but we value all of our volunteers 365 days a year! |

| | It’s All About Perspective |
| This was written by a high school student for a school assignment. We thought you’d like to read it: It’s All About Perspective On that chilly, rainy Tuesday morning, everything that I could have thought would go wrong had gone wrong: my shoes and socks soaked, my favorite hat muddy, and my mood ruined. Once again I was back at it, getting my school required service hours. Well that’s not true; I had already completed my mandatory hours, but the charity needed some help and I agreed to volunteer on Tuesdays. Today was the day I dreaded, because it was a chilly, rainy, miserable day and it’s tough delivering furniture in that weather. It didn’t seem too bad until the torrential downpour came into play. I was wearing my favorite blue Nike shoes and my authentic Red Sox hat and all I could think about was “How will I avoid ruining my hat and shoes?” We were moving a sofa into a woman’s house and the guy on the other end of the sofa decided to take a shortcut and walked us right through a deep puddle. My foot sunk into the mud and my whole shoe got soaked. I slipped up a steep staircase and brought the sofa around a tight corner and looked around. I saw a fish tank and a beaten up futon. That’s it. I went back down and helped carry in 8 mattresses because no one in the family had any place to sleep. There were six kids in the house, and they had nothing. Sitting in the van on the drive back to the warehouse, I began thinking. There I was, worrying about my nice shoes and hat, when other people don’t even have any furniture in their house. I was taking what I own for granted and I didn’t want to act that way. I have things fairly easy in life and I want to do my best to give back. I was too focused on myself. I’ve spent three summers volunteering at the charity HOPE For All, and it’s a good reminder to me that not everyone is as fortunate as I am. It has helped me appreciate the things that I have in life, and not be so self-centered. | | “May God continue to shower your mission with the abundance of resources needed to support families always!”Elma, Partnership Children, Youth, and Families |

| | | Focus: A Bed to Call My Own |
| Moving our neighbors off of the floor and into a new and healthy bed is integral to our efforts to bring a sense of “normal life” to our clients. It is eye-opening how many people in our area do not have a comfortable place to sleep, and our A Bed to Call My Own initiative is in place to change this. In the first eight months of our fiscal year, we have given more than 300 people a bed, including babies and toddlers, and have distributed more than 2,000 beds since 2017. When you add clean sheets and a fluffy pillow, people can awaken in the morning, ready to tackle a new day of school, work, or nurturing their family. We are reminded of Xavier, who wrote a note to us a few years ago about the bed he received from HOPE For All. He said: "I haven't had sheets for two months. It feels weird and uncomfortable without sheets. When I get in bed at night [now], I feel comfy and sleep well." In our Shopping for HOPE section below, you will see that we are once again asking for new pillows. If you would be interested in coordinating a collection for an upcoming month, please let us know. We distribute about 40 pillows each month, and are often asked what we need. Pillows are ongoing, and we don’t give out a bed without a pillow. Thank you for your support of our efforts to give people in our community a good night’s sleep. | | | | There are more than 200 items on our eBay site! | | | | Shopping for HOPEWe are in need of Pillows this month. We run out of pillows a lot! Thank you for any donation you can give to HOPE. |

| | | | | | | Saturday, March 12, 2022 8-11 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022 5-7 p.m.Spring is almost here! Check out our gardening, florals, and Easter merchandise.See you there!2022 Yard Sale Calendar | | | | | | These are very troubling times for our nation and our world. The recent events in Ukraine are unsettling to say the least. Our prayers go out to the people of Ukraine and to all who suffer injustice. We have to wonder where God is in all this. He is right in the forefront. Sometimes we wonder "Why am I here?" The answer is that: "It was I who choose you, not you who choose Me and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain." Thus says the Lord. These past few years have been very stressful and many have experienced the loss of love ones. The Lord says, "I appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain." The desire to offer service and human compassion seems to be waning away, but all of you at HOPE have heard His call through your prayers, talents, abilities, service and commitment to His Mission, and His lambs and sheep. All of our loyal staff, board, volunteers, donors and benefactors have heard His call through your Christian witness and spirit. Let us continue to bear him fruit and in so doing, give Him the honor and glory. We are entering on the seasons of Lent and Easter. He made the biggest sacrifice of all. Let us lift up our voices in praise and thanksgiving for what He has merited for us and through our unceasing efforts at HOPE continue His Mission, bearing much fruit to those we serve. |
