Dear Friends,

Today is Ash Wednesday, and so Lent begins.
 
At mass today you will be marked with ash your forehead, Ashes are an ancient symbol of sorrow and mourning. Ashes are all that is left when something is burned. Ashes take us to the very end of things, to death and finality.

Today is also Fast Day when we abstain from eating meat. 

11am Mass with imposition of Ashes at S.Paul's Camden Square

6pm Choral Mass with imposition of Ashes at Old S.Pancras

Please come to one of these masses and so begin Lent with devotion and hope.
