On Wednesday, February 16th, we hosted our first Atlanta Startup Convos Meetup of the year. We were joined by three fabulous founders:

• Ben Miller, CEO of Athlete Analytics, a SaaS company that leverages technology and data to optimize athletes’ physical performance and reduce the risk of injury.
• Chad Hickey, Founder & CEO of Givsly, a values driven marketing platform that uses people’s desires to give back as a way to achieve marketing results and business outcomes.
• Kendra Ward, Co-Founder of unboXT, a people platform that turns managers into leaders.

Season 3, Episode 2 of The Atlanta Story was released last week, and we had an awesome guest. Jon Birdsong sat down with Meria Carstarphen, former Superintendent of Atlanta Public Schools. Born in Selma, Meria took the helm of APS from 2014 to 2020. During her time, she saw graduation rates climb from 59% to over 80%. In the episode, Meria shares leadership tactics used to change culture, her ideas to improve education today, what’s next for her educational journey, and much more.
