Hi, my name is Ahlyxandra. I am a Japanese-Spanish American designer and strategist based between NYC, LA, and Seoul. For the past few years, I’ve been learning from and assisting startups that are rooted in social justice, sustainability, and design. I recently joined the Happy Family Night Market team as a volunteer.
I decided to volunteer because I value Happy Family’s approach to storytelling and community engagement. I believe storytelling has the power to influence the past, present, and future, and to create social change. Since joining the team, I’ve learned a lot about cooperatives (co-ops) and collaboration. This is my first time being a part of a co-op. I appreciate the team’s transparency, and how we take the time to reflect on our shared purpose and show genuine care for one another.
We always love and are grateful when community members reach out to offer support. If you’re interested in learning and growing together, I encourage you to consider volunteering for us! Happy Family is a respectful and intentional community of interdisciplinary creatives, where all are welcome to put our skills and ideas to good use.
Your creativity matters, is unique, and inspires many!
