Summer fun at the Creators Workshop
Peanuts cartooning workshop, Feb. 26

I hope today's newsletter finds you well and always creative.
There are some very interesting links here today and hopefully you'll find enjoyable.
"Where did picture frames come from?" is another wonderful essay by art historian and fiction writer Laura Morelli. Although  picture frames date back to the ancient Egyptians and the Greeks, Laura brings us to back to the Venetian renaissance, where the beautiful, hand-carved frames were equally fine works of art themselves.
"Ideas made of light" takes us into the mind of Maxfield Parrish and some theories on his composition of  his painting",  Daybreak". By far his most famous painting, it was the 20th century’s single most popular print in America. If you're in a geometry kinda mood, this article will keep you humming, but if you're like me it's an interesting read but can render you a bit light headed!
Speaking of reading that can make you light headed, my next link is about NFT's. Clint Watson of FASO does a nice job here of explaining it at "What are NFT's?"
A real source of info. for me is the Golden Paints newsletter. Golden Paints is a top quality acrylic paint manufacturer and offers virtually every acrylic paint and medium available on the market. If the quick drying nature of acrylics is an issue for you then, "All about slow drying retarder for acrylic paints" will be a valuable read for you.
We end todays issue with a link to our Summer art camp programs and also the wonderful Peanuts cartooning workshop on Feb. 26 where our generous attendees donated cat and dog food that we distributed to the good folks at FOWA, (Friends of Wayne Animals).
Have a great week and as always thanks for reading, Mike
