[NEW!] LSA Opportunity Hub Events and Resources
Along with coach-led workshops and networking events with alums and employers, the Hub hosts a handful of signature events each year:
-
March 8 - The Hub Presents: “So, you want to go to grad school?” This virtual roundtable will center the voices and experiences of Black graduate students and alums in political science, education, public affairs, and social work who recently completed or are currently completing their post-graduate degrees at predominantly white institutions. RSVP link is here. LSA students can join this candid and informative conversation with Black alums to explore not only what graduate school is and how to make yourself a strong candidate, but to also equip students with the knowledge and tools to determine for yourself if graduate education is your next best step.
- March 9 - The 2022 LSA Grad School Fair: On Wednesday, March 9, the Hub is hosting one of the college’s largest events where LSA students can explore the possibility of graduate school. At this one-stop destination, your students can learn everything they need to know about nationwide graduate school programs, including top ranked programs at our very own U-M. The best part of this LSA-exclusive event? We bring together graduate program representatives from across the country so students can get one-on-one access. RSVP link is here.
With job, internship and grad school application season upon us, here are some important updates and opportunities:
-
A small selection of new summer internship opportunities have been posted on the LSA Opportunity Network, both in-person and virtual. As part of the Hub’s Internship Program, students get personalized support from a member of our employer engagement team before, during, and after the internship experience.
-
Changes to Internship Funding
-
Eligibility requirements for the LSA Internship Scholarship have changed. To be eligible for the LSA Internship Scholarship, a student must be enrolled academically during the term of their internship, including Spring/Summer terms. More information to come on next steps.
