Parents & Guardians,

Happy Long Weekend!

You all should have received the news that the mask mandate from Boulder County Public Health was lifted at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18. This means beginning Tuesday, February 22 mask wearing will be optional at school and for all activities. Students will need to continue masking on the school bus. We respect that all families and staff will make the decision that is best for them. Whether students or staff wear masks or do not wear masks, we value all members of the Niwot Elem. community and will strive to ensure that our focus on education and success for students remains our top priority. We understand and realize that students and families will have mixed emotions about this. We value where all families are at with their decisions. Please have a conversation with your child to remind them of this.

There's only a few days left to nominate a teacher for the Tribute to Teachers award. The deadline to nominate is Wednesday, February 23. Thank you to all of those that have already submitted a nomination.

Please let me know what you need and how I can support you.

Have a great long weekend and be safe.

Sincerely,

Nancy Pitz
Principal

Thank you for your support of the students and teachers in the St. Vrain Valley community.

One of our favorite events of the year is the Tribute to Teachers award celebration sponsored by St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation. We love it because it recognizes and honors our outstanding teachers for their excellence in teaching.

Please help by nominating a teacher who you believe exemplifies excellence for a Teacher of the Year Award. Visit St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation's website at https://stvrainfoundation.org/programs/tribute-to-teachers/ for the nomination form. The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, February 23, 2022.
