Other notable stories:
Nerd Aid has set up a fundraiser to support Ukraine (through Red Cross). A good initiative to support the Ukrainian people in this meaningless situation, with many startups contributing. Link

Arne Tonning of Alliance Venture on startup investment terms. A very good primer on how to think about contractual terms, and especially his "no go zone" should be mandatory reading for everyone investing in startups. Link

Johan Gjesdal, also of Alliance, with new reflections around current and future Norwegian unicorns. Link

The 2022 version of Financial Times' 1000 fastest-growing companies of Europe, including several Norwegian tech companies. Link

Profile interview with Magnus Wanberg, founder of paper tablet Remarkable. Well deserved recognition. Link

Story on the many new venture funds that have emerged in Norway in the last few years. Link ($)

List of seven of the most prominent Norwegian "web3" companies. Link ($)

Johan Hallesby of Beta Mobility on what's ahead for electric scooters in Norway. Link

Digital electricity company Tibber did 2.96BNOK in revenue last year. Link

From abroad:
Podcast with Frank Slootman, CEO of Snowflake. Heaps of lessons on company building in this hour-long conversation, especially around pace and focus. Link

Abraham Thomas on what might cause a bubble to burst in private markets, in an excellent post called "Minsky Moments in Venture Capital". Very well written, touching on the compressed timelines we've seen across the board the past few years, and how a reversal of this might be what eventually causes a downturn. Link

Keith Rabois on how to run an effective board meeting. While it's from 2019, it's still just as relevant for founders wanting to make the most out of their board members and meetings. Link

Climate crisis tracker: The atmosphere is filling up with CO2. We must avoid a level of 450 parts per million. Current level: 418.6ppm (12 months ago: 416.6ppm, likely to exceed the target in 8-13 years). See also the summary of IPCC's most recent report - definitely not a promising outlook as of now.

Disclaimer: I have direct or indirect ownership in Presail, Axeptia, and Sirken.
