Aerobatic Seminar at Tyabb
1 pm Sunday 27th February

Matt Marais, President of the Australian Aerobatic Club, will talk briefly about the Aerobatic club and the Victorian Aerobatic Championships.
 
David Pilkington will present the Beginner’s Guide to Winning an Aerobatic Contest.

The venue is the Upper Deck in the PAC clubhouse with the Seminar at 1pm.

There is plenty of time for any new aerobatic pilot to get to competition level for the Victorian Aerobatic Championships at Easter.

We're not sure whether there'll be a BBQ or whether we'll recommend The Flying Cafe. Please advise if intending to come to David 0447 800 542 or david.pilkington@ozaeros.com.au

Graduate Aerobatic Scholarship

The recipient of the scholarship receives:
  • The books:
    • Aerobatics Down Under by David J Pilkington
    • The Basic Aerobatic Manual by William K Kershner.
  • Three hours of ground theory training towards the 1500 ft aerobatic endorsement.
  • Four hours of flying in a Super Decathlon or five hours in a Cessna 152 Aerobat.
The recipient must contribute to the flight instructor cost at the normal rate which would be approximately $400. The instructor is David Pilkington.
 

An applicant must have a minimum of an RPL and an aerobatic endorsement. Those with more aerobatic experience including aerobatic instructors are welcome to apply.

Applications close 6th March 2022 and the recipient announced approximately 13th March.
Training is to be done in the Melbourne area at the normal base for the aircraft.

Aerobatic Contests

Super Decathlon VH-UPG and Cessna A152 VH-HEZ will both be going to the Victorian Aerobatic Championships at Easter. They will be available for pilots to compete in Graduate or Sportsman as appropriate. If anyone is interested please email David.
