Fund for the Arts' Sustaining Impact Grants (SIG) provide mission-based operating support to Greater Louisville nonprofit arts organizations in order to ensure the organization’s ongoing capacity to drive community impact.
Pre-applications for the FY 2022-2023 SIG cycle will open on Monday, March 7, 2022. If you are a new SIG applicant, you will need to complete the pre-application by April 1, 2022.

Creative Writing Research Fellowship Deadline: March 10, 2022 The National Endowment for the Arts Literature Fellowships program offers $25,000 grants in prose (fiction and creative nonfiction) and poetry to published creative writers that enable recipients to set aside time for writing, research, travel, and general career advancement. Applications are reviewed through an anonymous process in which the criteria for review are the artistic excellence and artistic merit of the submitted writing sample. Through this program, the NEA seeks to sustain and nurture a diverse range of creative writers at various stages of their careers and to continue to expand the portfolio of American art. Research Grants in the Arts Deadline: March 28, 2022 Research Grants in the Arts support research studies that investigate the value and/or impact of the arts, either as individual components of the U.S. arts ecology or as they interact with each other and/or with other domains of American life. Challenge America Deadline: April 21, 2022 Challenge America offers support primarily to small organizations for projects in all artistic disciplines that extend the reach of the arts to populations that are underserved. Challenge America features an abbreviated application, a robust structure of technical assistance, and grants for a set amount of $10,000. Form, not Function: Quilt Arts at the Carnegie Deadline: March 19, 2022 Form, Not Function: Quilt Art at the Carnegie is an annual juried exhibit of contemporary quilt art held at the Carnegie Center for Art & History in New Albany, Indiana. All works must be quilted (two or more distinct layers held together with stitches). The layers may include fiber and textile materials, but this is not required and other techniques and mediums are acceptable as long as the work is quilted, as defined above. 18th Annual Magnitude Seven: International Call for Small Works Deadline: March 19, 2022 Each iteration of the exhibit brings in hundreds of powerful yet diminutive works for our jury to consider. Inevitably this results in a gallery full of diverse, compelling, and exquisite little gems. Manifest’s patrons eagerly await the Magnitude SEVEN event each year. This annual project is one of the most varied exhibits in their season. Dressers are responsible for all pre- and post-show duties as assigned by the Costume & Wardrobe Supervisor, as well as show duties such as pre-sets, quick changes and emergency repairs. The House Manager is the Radical Hospitality Team Leader responsible for creating a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment rooted in anti racist, anti-oppression and conflict resolution practices in all the Theatre’s facilities before, during, and after a performance.
