Tall Ships America members and non-member maritime organizations will highlight their programs and shipside/shoreside opportunities. There are so many ways to be part of this community, and we are actively creating connections between the people and the possibilities.

Whether you are recruiting or looking for opportunities, the Virtual Job Fair will help you take your search to the next level. Organizations interested in participating, contact Erin Short (Erin@tallshipsamerica.org) for more details.

Mentoring

Tall Ships America Mentorship Program
Deadline to apply is February 23rd

 
Move forward in your professional sailing career with the advice and guidance of tall ship sailors who know the ropes. A mentor can help you navigate the requirements for an original license, to renew for the first time, upgrade your license, or apply for a medical certificate.
 
Sail Endorsement
Wednesday, March 2, 2022; 1100 EST
 
Captain Chris Nolan will facilitate completion of the USCG approved online sail endorsement for any interested and qualified mariner. This USCG approved online curricula is 4 hours, and self-paced. Students can test with Captain Chris during the virtual conference, or at a later date.

Wednesday, March 2, 2022; 1200 to 1600 EST

Informative and relevant workshop sessions aimed at current and aspiring mariners covering the topics of weather, MMC, sailing proficiency and more.

Community Building and Fun
Tall Ship Task Challenge is back!

Registered Participants will gather virtually on Saturday, February 26th at 2:00PM EST, for a reading of the task and instructions about how to complete it. Participants have a specified amount of time to complete the task and send the results in to the TSTC (Tall Ship Task Challenge) Director, Jeff Crosby from Pride of Baltimore 2. Results will be reviewed at 5:00PM on Tuesday, March 1, by a panel of judges who will vote on a winner. Anyone who attends will have the chance to vote on a crowd favorite.

Register to play before February 26th. You may register as a group, or as an individual. Registrants should be of mostly sound body and at least a portion of sound mind.
