Wrestlers Receive Medals At State Championships
The Southern Boone Wrestling team had three wrestlers compete in the MSHSAA Wrestling Championships at Mizzou Arena in Columbia, February 17-19th.

Sophomore Callie Bergthold competed in the 115 lb. weight class. Callie’s season ended with a record of 41-8, and she finished the state tournament in 3rd place. In Missouri, girls wrestling has only one class, which means no matter the size of the school, they all compete in the same tournament. Callie is the first ever girls state medalist in Southern Boone Wrestling history.

Junior Hunter Jennings ended his season with a 36-11 record. Last weekend Hunter competed in the Class 2 145 lb. weight division at the MSHSAA state tournament. Hunter finished the tournament in 6th place, and is the school's second wrestler to earn all state honors.

Finally, Dane Donigian finished his junior season with a record of 34-11. Dane competed in the Class 2 195 lb. division at the MSHSAA state tournament. Dane finished the tournament in 4th place, which is a school record.

Congratulations to Callie, Hunter, Dane and the entire Southern Boone Wrestling team on a great season!
