Please see the following announcement below from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.
The National Center for Medical Rehabilitation Research (NCMRR) and NICHD are proud to announce our participation in the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) Design by Biomedical Undergraduate Teams (DEBUT) Challenge, a public/private partnership with VentureWell Design. The 2022 competition will provide $130,000 in prize money to undergraduate teams who develop innovative healthcare technology solutions. NCMRR/NICHD is sponsoring a $15,000 prize in Rehabilitative and Assistive Technologies for the health and function of people with physical disabilities. Other NIH co-funders include the Office of AIDS Research (OAR), the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD), and the National Cancer Institute (NCI). The deadline for submission is May 31, 2022 at 11:59 ET. Winners will be announced on August 26, 2022, and winning teams will be honored at an awards ceremony at the annual meeting of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) in October 2022.
