It's Time to Get Boosted!

In the City of Falls Church, 83.1% of the adult population is fully vaccinated, but only 60.2% of that population is boosted. Let's close the gap!

Are you eligible for a COVID-19 booster? Get yours:
  • 5 months after your initial Pfizer series if you are 12 years or older
  • 5 months after your initial Moderna series if you are 18 years or older
  • 2 months after your first dose of Johnson and Johnson if you are 18 years or older
If you want to learn more about the booster, the CDC just released a study, "COVID-19 Boosters Remain Safe, Continue to Offer High Levels of Protection Against Severe Disease Over Time and During Omicron and Delta Waves."

Get boosted for yourself, your family, and your community. Stop the spread of COVID-19! To find a booster dose, visit vaccines.gov or vacunas.gov.

VDH Data: February 2022 is the Third Worst Month for COVID-19 Deaths in Northern Virginia since May 2020

The graphic below from the Virginia Department of Health shows that the number of deaths from COVID-19 so far in February ranks just below the number of deaths in May 2020 and February 2021. Follow this link to explore the information.
The City of Falls Church -- and most of the commonwealth -- continues to be in a High Level of Transmission of COVID-19. Community members should continue to take precautions by getting vaccinated and boosted, wearing masks, staying socially distant, and staying home when sick.

There is some change in the transmission level for our immediate neighbors. Fairfax County -- apart from the Fairfax Health District -- is in substantial transmission. City of Fairfax is in moderate transmission. The City of Falls Church, Arlington County, and City of Alexandria are all in a high level of transmission.

Note: VDH is working to simplify and streamline COVID-19 data reporting on its web pages. Changes to some of the COVID-19 dashboards will take place in March. VDH will share more information about these changes over the next two weeks.

How to Get a Replacement COVID-19 Vaccination Card or QR Code

If you misplaced your card, or would like a QR code for your COVID-19 vaccination record, complete this process through the Virginia Department of Health

Please note:
  • Your vaccination record will only show COVID-19 immunizations.
  • If you received vaccines out of state or if a federal agency administered your vaccines, they will not show up in this self-serve portal.
  • This portal is not a “vaccine passport” but serves as a way to prove you were vaccinated for COVID-19.

For additional questions, email the Virginia Immunization Information System (VIIS) help desk at vaccinerecord@vdh.virginia.gov or call 877-VAX-IN-VA.
