Greetings! Many of us are nearing the semester halfway point and looking forward to Spring Breaks – or maybe just Spring itself.

This past month we sent out a couple of direct emails to our members to provide information and updates on two discount opportunities we are exploring with Perlego and Bloomsbury (for their Yale Anchor Bible Commentaries Collection) and to ask for an indication of possible interest via this Google form. Thank you to all who have responded. We invite you to fill out the form if you have not yet done so.

Read below for updates on our progress on these opportunities and an ACL Research Award deadline reminder.

Registration for ACL's annual conference is now open! The 2022 ACL Conference is hybrid, with both in-person participation at Newman University in Wichita, KS, and online participation for those who are not able to travel. As a CLC member, your library has the opportunity to register one non-ACL member from your institution for conference at the member rate. That's a $90 savings! You will need your CLC access code to take advantage of this member benefit. Email membership@acl.org to get your code. Early bird registration ends March 15

Yale Anchor Bible Commentaries Collection
Responses from our members indicate interest in participation that may get us to the 20% discount level. We have confirmed that this discount would be applied to both subscription and purchase models. If you have not indicated your interest via the Google form, we encourage you to do so soon. Bloomsbury’s quote is good through May 31, but we hope to finalize participation numbers before that time. This offer as quoted is for the Commentaries collection only, but if you would be interested in both the Commentaries and the Dictionary, we would love to know that.  Please contact us at clc@acl.org

Perlego
Responses from our members indicate that there is interest from some of you in participating in a consortium offer to purchase Perlego licenses and that we could potentially reach at the very least the first discount level. If any of you would like to speak directly with Alberta Fumagalli, the Perlego representative who conducted our webinar, here is a link to her calendar.
Please feel free to reach out to clc@acl.org with any questions regarding these offers.

April 1 is the deadline for submitting a nomination for a student(s) at your institution to receive the 2022 ACL Research Award. Click here for more information about the award, to see the 2021 recipients, and to find a link to the nomination form. We hope you take advantage of this opportunity to recognize your student scholars and create a library presence at your academic awards ceremony.
