MISSION UPDATE

Pssst...2021 annual impact report is ready for your review. The demand for our free animal assisted services was extremely high last year and we know that this year won't be any different. Easing of mask mandates has started but first responders and medical staff are still battling burn-out and fatigue. So we brought them and so many others, a sense of relief and joy in 2021. To be exact we helped 11,881 people in need last year because of 37 amazing dogs and mini horses. This effort was only possible because of the caring support of handful of 1fur1 volunteers and a dozen monthly re-occurring donors. We hope our transparency inspires action; join the 1fur1 impact movement and give us the opportunity to increase the relief and joy our furry friendly bring to so many people in need, please visit our website.

ANIMAL ASSISTED ACTIVITY

Just last month, in Florida the one mini horse part of the Kindred Spirit Therapy Minis gave joy to 70 veterans and seniors with disabilities. In the South, 9 Newfie Therapy Dogs provided relief to over 1,342 first responders and medical staff. Both of these programs completed 17 facility visits and two virtual sessions. ANIMAL ASSISTED THERAPY

In the Midwest, Canine Advocacy Program (CAP) impacted the lives of 239 child crime victims with the help of 9 dedicated canine advocates. Since last year crime victims are now able to request a canine advocate to assist them as s/he is going through the judicial system in Michigan state. In SoCal the therapy mini horses and mini pig are training and revamping their operational protocols in the hope to start working again with Autistic children soon.

For less then a $1/day you'll help support 1 FUR 1's life changing programs, knowing that at least 70% of the people we serve have experienced cognitive, emotional and physical benefits from our free-of-charge animal assisted therapy and activity session. Please raise a paw to join our cause.

THANK-A-THERAPY DOG

Any handler or pet owner that has experienced the power of the human-animal bond can start a fundraiser for an animal that has made profound difference in their life. As the end of the year is approaching, we're filled with gratitude to the 4-legged heroes that walk around us. Especially, our very own founding member, Ripley.
