Greetings to our circus friends

Roll on 2022! We hope everyone is safe and sound and keeping creative amid the noise. It has been a very challenging summer with many events cancelled and performers not able to to operate fully within the red light setting of the COVID19 Protection Framework, and with circus training facilities throughout the country adapting as best as possible to the framework.

Obviously Omicron is on all of our minds and so we would love to hear how things have been going for you via this survey we’ve created to find out whats up and how we can help:

ANZCA UPDATE / PĀNUI ANZCA

The committee has been meeting online throughout February to establish our objectives and processes for the year, as well as coming up with some interesting new concepts to help with community engagement.

ANZCA CALENDER / WĀTAKA ANZCA

This year we will be running a campaign for circus images by asking the national circus community to provide, and decide, on monthly pictures for the print calender 2023.

NEW BLOG / RAKITAKI HOU

We’re working on launching a new blog on the ANZCA website to provide a repository for all things kiwi circus. All members and other budding creative writers will be welcome to contribute stories, news, projects, images and the like.

BELLE a performance of air / he mahi hau

Committee member Jenny Ritchie has been hard at work with BELLE, which was due to premiere in the Aotearoa NZ Arts Festival, the show was cancelled however with the change to the red traffic light setting, but the Movement of the Human team were still given the opportunity to rehearse and develop the show for the proper future premiere.
