About Townshippers: Are you languishing? Signs and How to Cope

As we move towards the 2nd anniversary of the beginning of the pandemic here in Canada, you may find yourself experiencing a lack of motivation or periods of discouragement. You'll be pleased to know that you aren't alone in this - and that there is even an official name for it: languishing.

Last July, About Townshippers host Ed Humphrey interviewed Jennifer Bauer, Emily McBurney, and Olivia Romano from Mental Health Estrie about languishing. Their discussion, even if it dates back a few months, is still very relevant and may offer you some coping strategies that could help you if you feel you might be languishing in these last few months of winter. Click on the buttons below to view the "Are You Languishing?" interviews.

If you would like more information about languishing or could use some support, contact Mental Health Estrie.

Richmond: Now & Then
By: Nick Fonda

March (and St. Patrick's Day) in the Townships often brings up thoughts of Richmond - so what better time of year could there be to pick up a book about the history of Richmond?

Nick Fonda's "Richmond: Now & Then" offers an anecdotal history of the town of Richmond. According to the book's description, "some liken formal histories to four-lane highways. Nick Fonda answers with a meandering road, quietly charming, with a human face. Readers of this book will inescapably yearn to visit Richmond, now and then."
