Upskilling General Operatives to Cope with Modern Workplace  

If you have valued operations staff who would benefit from improved skills through an easy-to-access programme delivered on site, you should consider the six week EXPLORE Programme. A facilitator will work with a group of your staff for a few hours each week to address challenges in the modern workplace including digital skills.  See more here.

Ireland's Digital Skills Deficit - what can we do about it?

Recent studies show Ireland’s working population ranks below average in terms workplace digital skills. Yet, Government’s ambition is to be a digital leader at the heart of European and global digital developments. So how do we square that circle? More here.

Apprenticeships Progress Continuing  
Significant progress with apprenticeships continues to be made as outlined by Dr Mary-Liz Trant, Director of the new National Apprenticeship Office at a recent meeting with the South East Regional Skills Forum. Yet, there is much more to do to meet Minister Harris’ ambition for apprenticeships.   More here.

South East Employment Increases during Pandemic 

The South East region saw an overall increase in employment of 11,200 persons in the two years to Sept 2021. Some sectors such as manufacturing, construction and financial services have fared well. However, hospitality and agriculture have seen declines. See details here.
